LS variable metadata
Variable: RECTYPE
Table: NBIR
Short description: Record type. New birth on a sample date.
Full description:
Coding notes: 51 = Newbirth on a sample date
Notes: See also Newbirth program specifications sheet 2 4 1 1 - 2 4 1 For each record loaded into the Model 204 system a check was made against the LS member's core file ie record 11. If a record 11 was found to exist (an unexpected occurrence since a Newbirth record should be the fist notification of LS membership) it was printed, updated with Sex & Date of Birth variables from the Newbirth record, and printed again for later investigation. If a record 11 did not exist on the LS member's file, it was created, as was an LS member's event record 12.
